Air compressors are used in almost all industrial facilities to generate compressed air. Compressed air holds a vital role in production processes within industrial plants. While performing this important function, air compressors are relatively inefficient machines in terms of electricity consumption. Despite their useful work, they release up to 95% of the energy they consume as waste heat into the atmosphere. This waste heat is expelled into the atmosphere through the cooling systems of the mechanical equipment’s lubrication systems used for compressing and pressurizing the air.
